We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Palm Island. If you want to just relax, this location is perfect. Although there is no view of the Gulf, the two mile long, white sand beach is a short walk away-it is uncrowded and a shell-collectors/birders paradise. The property is especially spacious, well appointed, and welcoming, as well as having a fully stocked kitchen. The very large, screened front porch has a table and chairs and looks out to a park-like setting of mixed palms and gardens. A great place for breakfasts. Tennis courts and a heated pool are across the street. We were especially impressed by the friendliness of both the resort staff and our neighbors. Everyone truly enjoys this place and with reason. Since Palm Island Resort doesn’t permit cars (you leave your car in a lot at the resort’s entrance,) you hear only nature’s sounds and occasionally a person whizzing by in a golf cart. But be sure to bring groceries for your stay because there is only a very small store at the Resort. There is also a restaurant and a coffee shop. This property comes highly recommended.
